State employees of the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) will begin issuing driver’s licenses and identifications Nov. 21 from the current Adel offices at 918 Court St. and continue until the new Waukee licensing center opens at 1156 S.E. Ashworth Road, according to the DOT.
“We will staff four DOT employees in Adel now and eight employees once we move to Waukee,” said Iowa DOT Driver and Identification Services Bureau Director Darcy Tague Doty.
The Dallas County Board of Supervisors notified the Iowa DOT Oct. 22 of its intention to terminate the 28E agreement to provide the driver’s license function effective Nov. 21.
