Two vehicles collided in the 2700 block of Iowa Street Saturday evening, and a fist fight ensued, apparently between the drivers of the respective vehicles.

Twilight shadows were gathering in the 2700 block of Iowa Street Saturday when two vehicles collided, and a fist fight ensued, apparently between the drivers of the respective vehicles.

Circumstances of the incident are murky and were investigated by officers of the Perry Police Department, which will presumably issue a report in due course.

Public safety radio traffic indicated a two-vehicle crash occurred shortly before 5 p.m. and that fists were thrown thereafter. It is unknown what caused the mishap or the violent interaction between the parties.

A passenger van lost a wheel and came to rest in the backyard of a house on Summer Meadows Drive. Any other vehicle involved in the crash was unidentified at this hour.

The Dallas County EMS responded. Public safety radio traffic indicated at least one subject refused medical transport.
