An Earlville man was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife, whom he allegedly stabbed repeatedly in the back with a corn rake.

An arrest warrant was served to Todd Michael Mullis, 42, by the Delaware County Sheriff’s office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) in connection with the Nov. 10, 2018, death of Amy Lynn Fuller Mullis, 39.

The crime occurred at the Mullis’ rural Earlville farm. The couple had three children.

Law enforcement investigation “identifed Todd Mullis as the subject responsible for her death,” according to a statement released Thursday by the Delaware County Sheriff’s office.

Mullis was taken into custody without incident and is jailed without bail in the Delaware County Jail.
