Eighth annual Carnegie Library Museum Festival of Trees starts Tuesday

A pair of shy woodland creatures greet visitors to the eighth annual Festival of Trees / Festival de Arboles at the Carnegie Library Museum, starting Nov. 22.

The eighth annual Festival of Trees at the Carnegie Library Museum begins its month-long run next Tuesday, and entrants have been busily erecting their holiday marvels over the last few days.

A large number of visitors is expected before and after the Holiday Lighted Parade on Friday, Nov. 25, but visitors can also view the numerous themed Christmas trees and holiday decorations on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., on Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 1-4 p.m.

The Carnegie Library Museum will also be open for extended hours on Thursday, Dec. 8 for a special Noche Latina or Latino Night of festivities from 6-7:30 p.m.

Admission to the Carnegie Library Museum Festival of Trees is free, and visitors can vote for their favorite trees or displays with tokens provided by the Carnegie Library Museum staff.

This year’s list of local tree decorators included 33 individuals, businesses and civic and religious groups.
