El Buen Gusto Pupuseria to reopen in downtown Perry next month

The popular Salvadoran restaurant El Buen Gusto will reopen at 1228 Second St. in Perry in July.

Good news, pupusa lovers. El Buen Gusto will soon reopen at its familiar downtown Perry location at 1228 Second St.

Edith Barco and Leo Esquivel’s popular Salvadoran restaurant has been serving tasty dishes in downtown Perry since 2009. Their recent opening of a West Des Moines store did not make them give up ownership of the Perry store, and they have decided to start serving the Perry market again.

A liquor license has been approved, and a late-July reopening is expected.

ThePerryNews.com will bring you more details on this positive development as they become available.
