Eleanor Roberts, 83, of Perry passed away Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, at the King’s Garden Campus of Perry Lutheran Homes in Perry, Iowa.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry, with visitation with her family beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry. Everyone is encouraged to wear face coverings and practice social distancing while attending visitation and services.

Eleanor Sue Roberts was born May 27, 1938, in Woodward, Iowa, and graduated from Perry High School.
She was united in marriage to John Richard Roberts at the First Baptist Church in Jefferson, Iowa, June 30, 1957.
Eleanor worked at Wil-Do Cleaners, the Perry Lutheran Home in housekeeping and at Ben Franklin in Perry.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Perry.
Eleanor loved sewing, making quilts, her cats, and working puzzle books. She was also an avid reader.
In death she rejoins her husband, John Roberts; father, Gilbert Smith; mother, Lois Smith; and brothers, George Smith and Bill Smith.
Left to cherish Eleanor’s memory are her children, Shona (Mike Harvey) Roberts, Kelly (Jessica) Roberts, Elaine (Scott) Stokely and Lorri Brandt; 13 grandchildren; siblings, Sarah (John) Neu, Rick Smith and Dixie (Dennis) Nelson; several nieces and nephews; and her cats, Horacio and Critter.
