Corn-loving Elks Club members raised funds Friday for the club’s annual Adopt-a-Family at Christmas program.

The Perry Elks Lodge 407 fundraiser for their annual Adopt-a-Family at Christmas program served up all-you-can-eat sweet corn, the perfect prelude to the performance by Friday Fest artists Toaster.

A steady stream of dining Elks passed through the hall during the two-hour feast, which was rounded out with burgers, bratwursts, hotdogs, baked beans, pasta salad, cucumber and onion salad, cottage cheese and veggie salad, brownies, Rice Krispie bars and lemon blueberry cheesecake.

The Adopt-a-Family at Christmas program, which provides holday gift baskets to local families, is a longstanding Perry Elks Club tradition.

Comfortable weather greeted the large crowd attending the Friday Fest performance of Toaster.
