Local entrepreneur and Perry promoter Jenny Eklund spoke Tuesday at the weekly meeting of the Perry Kiwanis Club in the Hotel Pattee.
Eklund, owner of Perry Paint and Design, co-owner of La Poste and a former Perry City Council member, spoke on various topics, including the upcoming Art on the Prairie event Nov. 14-15. The annual art marketplace draws thousands of visitors to Perry.
Eklund also discussed the steady growth and recent goings on at La Poste, repeated positive comments she has heard from visitors to Perry, outlined ways Perry businesses complement each other and shared ideas for revitalizing the many vacant buildings in the downtown Perry.
