Family unharmed in one-vehicle rollover early Friday on P58

Minburn First Responders inspect the wreckage of a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban that overturned on J Avenue north of 230th Street early Friday.An SUV left the roadway of County Road P58 about 1:45 a.m. Friday and came to rest in the west ditch after rolling. No injuries were reported.

Two adults and one minor escaped unharmed early Friday when their SUV left the roadway of County Road P58 (J Avenue), entered the ditch and rolled.

The mishap occurred about 1:45 a.m., when the 2001 Chevrolet Suburban overturned on the county blacktop about 1.5 miles north of Iowa Highway 44.

The circumstances of the accident are unknown at this hour. The SUV came to rest on its passenger side in the west ditch of County Road P58.

A package on disposable diapers near the overturned vehicle implied the minor victim was a young child.

A passing motorist said he came upon the wreckage and assisted the victims to exit the vehicle while his wife called 911.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.

The Minburn First Responders, Minburn Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded.
