The Perry Fareway made a dazzling donation to the Perry Chamber of Commerce Thursday when Fareway Manager Travis Landgrebe presented a check for $1,189.12 to Chamber Executive Director Lynsi Pasutti, the round-up total from the 2022 Fourth of July fireworks fundraiser.

“We’re very excited,” Pasutti said. “This gets us closer to our goal for this year’s fireworks show.”

Landgrebe said he was grateful to the generous Fareway customers and to this year’s top Fareway fundraiser, cashier Dariel McNamara.

Pasutti said that $17,953.65 has now been raised for the 2022 fireworks show, which caps the Indepence Day activities in Perry at 9:30 p.m. The annual Fourth of July celebrations begin with the 10 a.m. parade on Willis Avenue. Vendors will be trading in Pattee Park all day, and Booster Games begin at 2 p.m., with live music by Loose Gravel at 6 p.m.
