Law enforcement responded Saturday afternoon to a report of a bicyclist lying in a ditch and feared deceased, but an investigation determined the traveler from New Sharon was alive but highly intoxicated.
The incident occurred about 3:15 p.m. just north of the Violet Hill Cemetery in the 2300 block of Duck Avenue in Boone County.
The Perry Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Boone County Sheriff’s office, Perry First Responders and Dallas County EMS responded.
