A passenger vehicle sustained front-end damage Sunday evening when it collided with an SUV on Willis Avenue at 10th Street.

A fender bender on Willis Avenue at 10th Street about 7 p.m. Sunday brought a harsh note to the otherwise soothing tranquility of Mother’s Day in Perry.

A sport utility vehicle, westbound on Willis Avenue and turning southbound onto 10th Street, appeared to have been struck from the rear by a passenger car.

Officers of the Perry Police Department responded to the scene.

There were no apparent injuries in the mishap.

The SUV sustained a dent in its rear bumper, and the passenger car sustained more extensive front-end damage.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this hour. The Perry Police Department is investigating.
