Between all the talented decorators in the community and people like me, at the other end of the continuum, who barely have the ability to place ceramic reindeer on a shelf, we now have a new and unique offering for one and all to participate in the joyful 10th annual Festival of Trees at the Carnegie Library Museum.
You can get creative and decorate a small cubby hole — no need to tackle a full-size tree!
Although we love and appreciate all the table-top and full-size trees and displays that are part of this holiday event, this is a new opportunity to add your unique touch with a smaller but equally festive display.
Let’s transform these lonesome, empty cubby holes into spaces overflowing with holiday cheer!
Maybe you have a collection of snow people, snow globes, gnomes, elves or other holiday or winter what-nots, decorative arrangements or wreaths to share. If so, then we have a space for you.
Contact Laura Stebbins at ljstebbins@outlook.com or Katie Schott at 515-465-3809 by Saturday, Nov. 16. Set-up dates and times at the Carnegie Library Museum will be Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
We’d love to have you join us this season. Participation is free and open to all.
