A controlled fire eluded control in the 800 block of 320th Street in Boone County about 8 p.m. Sunday, bringing the volunteer fire departments of Woodward and Bouton to the scene with tankers and ATVs.
There were no known injuries in the fire, which firefighters are still fighting at this hour.
The blaze was located about three miles north of Bouton on land owned by Nylene Hansen and James Hansen, according to Boone County records.
The Boone County Sheriff’s office also responded.
