Classroom teachers at Perry Elementary School have one task each month all likely enjoy attending to: naming Bluejay Leaders. Students who display respectful, responsible and safe behaviors are chosen monthly to receive the honor.
A total of 67 students at Perry Elementary were recently chosen for inclusion on the final list of Bluejay Leaders for the 2017-18 school year. To earn the honor, students must display respectful, responsible, and safe behaviors. They are chosen by classroom teachers.
Kindergarteners named Bluejay Leaders were, front: Paislee Brokaw, Wendy Leanos, Andrew Hoffman, Valentina Medina, Suad Adam, and William Telleen. Back: Jamie Hudnell, Igiraneza Lameck, Lindsay Brown, Jaden Stokely, Carley Ketelsen and Nathan Nyemah. Not pictured is Maria Lopez.

The final set of third graders to receive Bluejay Leader certificates this year includes, front: Adamaris Rivas, Aleah Karolus, Keilani Strempke, and Payton Gilmore, and, standing: Angel Cabrera-Jiminez, Jeiliani Puente, Sandra Banales, and Keny Ochoa.
The fourth grade was represented on the Bluejay Leader list by, front: Audrey Romero, Jose Ortega, Maria Valdez, Karagyn Whelchel, Khriz Perez, and Lovetee Paul. Also named for the fourth grade were, back: Helber Ramirez, Jaylah Fennell, Jake Mendez, Mason Chapin, Delilah Riquelme and Derrick Carrillo.
