Four local fire departments responded to the Four Corners Tuesday afternoon after a fire was reported in the office of the Red Carpet Inn.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, which was reported by a resident of the motel about 4:15 p.m. All residents were evacuated from the building.

Smoke was visibly emerging around the door and window frames of the 56-year-old structure at 22980 141st Dr. in rural Bouton when the Bouton Volunteer Fire Department responded, with mutual aid from the Minburn Volunteer Fire Department, Perry Volunteer Fire Department and Woodward Volunteer Fire Department.

The firefighters made a forced entry of the office area and promptly controlled the fire.

The Bouton First Responders, Dallas County Sheriff’s office and Dallas County EMS also responded.
