A two-vehicle collision on Iowa Highway 141 at 10th Street in Perry early Friday afternoon appeared to be related to the two-day mania for garage sales now gripping the state highway from Grimes to Sloan.
There were no injuries in the accident, which left one vehicle in the south ditch on Iowa Highway 141 and the second on the south shoulder of the eastbound lanes.
Airbags deployed in one of the vehicles.
The Perry Police Department is investigating the collision, which was reported about 1:30 p.m. The Dallas County EMS also responded.
Motorists are urged to use caution on and around Iowa Highway 141 during the course of the commercial event.
