Even though the Bluejays did not give the Tigers as close a shave as they wanted, the spirit was more than willing.

As the Perry community reflects on the 2016 PHS Homecoming week, including the welcome return of the homecoming parade, let us note once more the evidence of hard work and team spirit that went into bringing this event about. The evidence still surrounds us. For instance, the PHS cheerleading squad and a dozen additional student volunteers painted more than 100 windows Wednesday morning as part of the annual PHS Volunteer Day labors. Soap and water will soon remove the paint but before it does, ThePerryNews.com caught a few images of the passing beauty — to those whose windows we missed, we apologize — and we offer them as a sentimental reminder of the brevity of this harvest season of mists and mellow fruitfulness.
