The National Weather Service office in Johnston has issued a flood warning until 12:45 p.m. Wednesday for the Perry area, where flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Flooding was reported by local law enforcement along Eagle Avenue near 310th Street north of Perry shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Along with Perry, locations where flooding is forecast include Ames, Boone, Jefferson, Ogden, Woodward, Boone Speedway, Iowa State Center, Grand Junction, Kelley, Rippey,
Dawson, Bouton, Luther, Fraser, Beaver, Berkley, Ledges State Park, Boone Municipal Airport and Perry Municipal Airport.
