Football semifinal matchups set, Mediacom viewers blacked out again

A brief overview of the six state title games on tap at the UNI-Dome.

CEDAR FALLS — All six classes of Iowa prep football will hold their semifinal contests Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the UNI-Dome.

Statewide television coverage is being provided by NBC Sports Chicago. The channel is available on DISH Network and DirectTV but not on any system served by Mediacom, which covers the majority of the state.

Rankings shown are the final RPI position of each team.

Thursday’s Semifinals
8-Player
9 a.m. — No. 10 Rockford (10-1) vs No. 6 Southeast Warren (12-0)
12 p.m. — No. 9 New London (10-1) vs No. 7 Fremont-Mills (10-1)

Class 3A
5:30 p.m. — No. 13 Western Dubuque (9-2) vs No. 1 Sergeant Bluff-Luton (12-0)
8:15 p.m. — No. 3 Cedar Rapids Xavier (11-0) vs No. 2 Lewis Central (11-0)
