Perry Public Library Director Mary Murphy joined Chris McVey of Des Moines-based The Shredder Saturday morning for the library’s fourth annual free paper-shredding service.
The two-hour event is a regular feature of the October calendar, Murphy said, and is sponsored by the library, the Raccoon Valley Bank and The Shredder.
“This is one of the library’s many free public services,” Murphy said. She said a steady number of local recyclers started arriving with the event’s 10 a.m. start time.
