The Dallas County Hospital and Family Medicine Clinics will partner with Hispanics United for Perry (HUP) to offer free Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccinations to all community members next Saturday, Aug. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Hotel Pattee’s Soumas courtyard during the Viva Perry Latino Festival.
“According to the Iowa Department of Public Health website, approximately 55% of the Perry community has achieved vaccination,” said Tom Harmsen, PR and marketing manager for the Dallas County Hospital, “and we hope to increase this number by offering accessibility and convenience of information and the vaccines at the Viva Perry event.”
Harmsen said the Dallas County Hospital team will continue to play a proactive role in mitigating the side effects of a Coronavirus diagnosis through community inoculation efforts such as this.
Children ages 12 and older are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine, and a provider will be onsite. Second doses of both vaccines can be scheduled at the Perry Clinic.
