The DMACC Perry VanKirk Career Academy will host a free ServSafe informational session Wednesday, March 19. The ServSafe program provides essential training to food service workers in food handling, sanitation and workplace best practices.
This session is designed for workers interested in obtaining free ServSafe certification and for business owners who want to upskill their employees with industry-recognized food-safety and alcohol-service training.
The free ServSafe training will take place in May and will be offered in Spanish. The March 19 session at DMACC, held in collaboration with the Iowa Latino Hospitality Council and the Iowa Restaurant Association, will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the Perry campus.
