In Iowa, 80 percent of the people who smoke say they want to quit.

Are you a smoker thinking about quitting? Attend the free Quit Smoking dinner program Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Adel Public Library community room.

The American Lung Association and Sumpter Pharmacy are hosting this event for people who smoke and their loved ones. A free dinner will be served, and there will be giveaways and door prizes.

There will be a supportive environment in which to learn proven ways to help tobacco users quit. Non-smokers will also learn how they can support their loved ones in quitting.

This program will help people create a quit plan, and everyone will leave with their very own “quit kit.”

There will be a chance to ask the experts and discuss with other tobacco users tips and tools for getting through cravings.

Registration is required for this free event. For more information or to register, call Sumpter Pharmacy at 515-993-1119.
