Tari Mason is celebrating her tenth year in business in downtown Perry by relocating from her Warford Street spot to 1203 Second St.

The move should be complete by February, she said Friday, as some of her most loyal clientele from the Women of Wonder (WOW) and Society of Retired Experts (SORE) coffee groups gathered for temporarily-closing ceremonies.

Wishing Tari well Friday were WOW members Georgia Draeger, Donna Emmert, Kathy Fox, Lois Hoger, Valerie McCool, Connie McGuire, Carol Mueller and Dixie Slight.

Ray Harden, longtime secretary of the SORE (known originally as the Society of Retired Educators), noted the group formed in 2007, and the original membership was composed of himself and Eugene Brady, Dick Ehlers, Roger Emmert, Alan Hall, Jim Kline, Bob Rounds, Rich Saemisch and Phil Stone.

Joining Harden Friday were John Andorf, Gary Becker, Jim Caufield, Nick Eakins, Ken Finer, Lou Hoger, Doug Latham, Don Ruggle, Joe Shelly and Dan Spellman.

Mason has numerous mementoes for sale, including many coffee cups and mugs.
