Jay and Denise Hartz, owners of the Hotel Pattee in Perry, showcased their latest collaborative venture Tuesday and Wednesday with a soft opening of the Frontier Shack, their trail-side food truck perched alongside the Flat Tire Lounge in Madrid.
High Trestle Trail riders can enjoy a variety of tasty dishes, from gourmet pizza, chicken fingers and nachos grande to grab-and-go biker fare. The Hartzes offered free food from 5-7 p.m. as part of the soft opening of the Frontier Shack. Local reaction from two-wheeled passersby suggest it is the start of a beautiful relationship.
