INDIANOLA — A pipeline has been established from Woodward to Indianola, one that continues to funnel football players south, changing them from Hawks to Storm gridders in the process.
Current Simpson sophomore Taylor Ashman is a big part of the reason why. He lettered last fall as a safety after convincing W-G Class of 2014 standout Tanner Canova to join him on campus.
Now the number of former Hawks in Warren County will more than double, as Taylor will be joined by younger brother Cole, along with Mason Burkhart and Michael Connor.
All five former W-G stars earned numerous all-state and other accolades while playing for head coach George Ashman.
