GILBERT — Class 2A 15th ranked Gilbert had little trouble with Perry in a girls non-conference soccer matchup Tuesday.

The Tigers used a dominance in time of possession to post a 7-0 win, a loss that sent Perry to 4-6 overall.

“It was a brutal game, and our girls simply got outplayed and out-hustled,” Perry assistant coach Fred Niebaum said. “We were able to get only one shot on goal.”

The road for the Jayettes does not become any easier as Perry will travel to Newton Friday to face the No. 13 Cardinals.
