A Celebration of Life for Glen “Boss” Laird, 65, of Woodward will be held Saturday, May 11 at the Whistling Donkey in Woodward, with family present from 2-4 p.m.
Boss passed away at his Woodward, Iowa, home Saturday, March 16, 2019, following a sudden illness.
Boss was born Feb. 8, 1954, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, son of Gene and Dorthy (Pyle) Laird.
He received his education in the Woodward-Granger School District.
Boss was married to Nancy Summerson, and to this union two children were born Ann and Cody.
He made his home in Perry for a time before moving to Woodward and was a truck driver for various farmers in the area.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Gary and Gail.
Boss is survived by his daughter, Ann Lehnhoff of Scranton; a son, Cody Laird of Adel; five grandchildren, Sami, Joe, Kaylie, Marisa and Chloe; a sister, Martha (Jerry) Peters; and two brothers, Gordon (Rhonda) of Woodward and Garland (Mary) of Graybull, Wyo.; and many nieces and nephews.
Brandt Dallas Center Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
