Glen’s family moved to Iowa, later living in Bouton, where he attended school.

Glen was always a hard worker, never being able to sit idly by. He set bowling pins for his uncle, Howard Cox, at the Perry Bowl. Glen later worked for Tobe Buchanan as plant manager at Perry Asphalt. He did a lot of snow removal for Tobe during the winter months. He retired as a welder from Wiese Industries after several years and then returned to work again when they needed his talents.

Glen enjoyed fishing, bowling, and wood carving. He especially enjoyed his lifetime membership in the Perry Rod and Gun Club. The cabin at High Lake in Iowa was always a great destination, and he had just recently visited the cabin, as if to say good-bye.

Glen’s family was most important to him. He was married to Mary Ann Whitecotton June 1, 1959, at the Christian Church in Granger. Glen and Mary Ann celebrated 56 years of marriage. They were blessed with three children, Deb, Donna and Glen Jr.

His legacy of hard work and loyalty is a very special memory for his family.
