A Granger man was arrested for assault Saturday after allegedly choking his wife and slamming her head into a wall.
Chad Jerome Ofstad, 37, of 2319 Maplewood Dr., Granger, was charged with domestic abuse assault-impeding flow of air/blood.
The incident began about 9:15 a.m. Saturday in the 2300 block of Maplewood Drive in Granger, where officers of the Granger Police Department and Woodward Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with the victim, who said that she and Ofstad “were arguing” when he allegedly grabbed the victim “by the neck and slammed her head into the wall.”
Ofstad is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Nov. 4 in Dallas County District Court.
