April 22, 2019

  • A deputy assisted Churdan Rescue in the 600 block of School Street in Churdan.
  • A deputy assisted Carroll Police Department investigating an assault case.
    Joshua Harold Gingery, 34, of Churdan was booked into the Greene County Jail for second-offense domestic abuse assault.
  • A deputy assisted with a stray dog in the 900 block of W Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 1100 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton.
  • Zachary Dean Vreeland, 26, of Lytton was booked into the Greene County Jail for failure to appear on an original charge of fourth-degree theft.
  • A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle complaint in the 2100 block of 240th Street.
    Lauren Marie Schulte, 24, of Jefferson was booked into the Greene County Jail for assault on persons in certain occupations and disorderly conduct–loud or raucous noise.

April 23, 2019

  • Brent Allen, 34, of Ames was booked into the jail for fourth-degree theft.
  • Rexo Mackey, 38, of Geuda Springs, Kan., was booked into the jail for a probation violation.
  • A deputy, the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department and the Greene County EMS responded to a two-vehicle accident on 220th Street near Pioneer Avenue. Jon Nelson, 27, of Jefferson was following a Morton Buildings truck and trailer heading east on 220th Street. The sun was in Nelson’s eyes, and he did not see the Morton truck and trailer slowing to turn and rear ended the trailer. Nelson was issued a citation for failure to stop in a assured clear distance. Nelson’s vehicle was totaled in the accident. Damage to the trailer was less than $500.
  • A deputy investigated a civil dispute in the 400 block of Bell Street in Churdan.
  • A deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint in the 900 block of Grant Street in Scranton.
    A deputy tried to locate a box in the roadway on U Avenue near 170th Street.

April 24, 2019

  • A deputy investigated a phone scam in the 300 block of 14th Street S. in Grand Junction.
  • The Sheriff, a deputy and the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department responded to a field fire in the 1100 block of 290th Street.
  • A deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint in the 300 block of Fourth Street in Rippey.
  • A deputy investigated an identity theft complaint in the 700 block of 300th Street.
  • A deputy investigated a driving complaint on Railroad and N. 16th streets in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy investigated suspicious activity in the 1100 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton.
  • A deputy investigated a theft in the 600 block of N Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated an illegal burn in the 400 block of E. Hager Street in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on 220th Street and N Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated a complaint of a possible underage party in the 2000 block of 295th Street.

April 25, 2019

  • The Sheriff and deputies assisted the Jefferson Police Department with locating a missing person near Daubendiek Park.
  • A deputy assisted with putting cattle back in the fence in the 2000 block of 170th Street.
  • A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 800 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton.
  • A deputy investigated a theft that was found to have occurred in Perry.
  • A deputy investigated a child custody dispute in the 800 block of Hills Avenue of Churdan.
  • A deputy investigated a theft in the 700 block of E. Main Street in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 1800 block of P Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 220th Street near W Avenue.
