June 14, 2019

  • A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on 220th Street and Orchard Avenue.

June 15, 2019

  • A deputy investigated a car-deer accident on 220th Street near J Avenue. Tracy Rummans, 56, of Perry struck a deer with her 2011 Chevrolet Equinox, causing an estimated $1,500 damage.
  • Christopher Lawrence, 39, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a Polk County warrant for first-offense sex offender registry violation, willful injury causing bodily injury and going armed with intent.
  • A deputy investigated an abandoned 911 call at Hyde Park.
  • A deputy assisted with a dog that was picked up near Grand Junction. The Boxer was taken to Paws.
  • A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a vehicle search in the 100 block of E. Central Street.
  • A deputy investigated a suspicious person on 220th Street and X Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated a car-deer accident in the 600 block of N Avenue. Jacob Thompson, 19, of Churdan struck a deer with a 2009 Dodge Challenger, causing an estimated $4,000 damage.

June 16, 2019

  • A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a traffic stop in the 100 block of E. Vest Street.
  • A deputy assisted with cattle out on D Avenue near 120th Street.
  • A deputy assisted with two dogs that were found on 305th Street. The two beagles were taken to paws.
  • A deputy assisted with cattle out on E Avenue near 125th Street.
  • A deputy assisted with a dog found running at large in Paton. The owner was located.
  • A deputy assisted with removing a bale of hay from the roadway on N Avenue near 210th Street.
  • Patricia Monthei, 49, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for third-offense OWI.
