October 9, 2019

  • A deputy investigated a littering complaint in the 2400 block of 337th Street.
  • A deputy investigated an alarm in the 1000 block of V Avenue.
  • A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 1400 block of 160th Street.
  • A deputy assisted a motorist on E Avenue near 240th Street.
  • Greene County deputies were assisted by the Carroll County Sheriff’s office in conducting a search warrant for stolen property in the 26000 block of Zephyr Avenue. Stolen property was located at the residence. Charges are pending.
  • A deputy investigated a railroad crossing with metal sticking up on U Avenue near 150th Street.
  • A deputy investigated an alarm in the 200 block of E. Main Street in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 1400 block of 160th Street.
  • The Greene County Sheriff and a deputy investigated an abandoned 911 call in the 900 block of Main Street in Scranton.

October 10, 2019

  • A deputy investigated a theft in the 700 block of E. Main Street in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 2300 block of 260th Street.
  • A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 2400 block of 337th Street.
  • Justin Kelton, 21, of Des Moines was booked into the Greene County Jail for a violation of a no-contact order.
  • Elisha Ward, 19, of Grand Junction was booked into the Greene County Jail for first-offense possession of a controlled substance.
  • A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 500 block of N Avenue.
  • The Greene County Sheriff and the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department responded to propane tank leaking after a tree fell on it in the 1400 block of I Avenue.
  • The Greene County Sheriff’s office, Gowrie Police Department, Paton Fire Department, Churdan Fire Department, Greene County Ambulance and Jefferson Fire Department responded to vehicle in the West Buttrick Creek floating down stream with one female in the vehicle. Ouida Wiggins, 55, of Paton lost control of her 2003 Jeep Liberty and entered the creek that was bank full of water. The vehicle was a total loss. Deputy Sheriff Shane Allen and Churdan Fireman Nate Byerly jumped into the creek when the driver went under the water. They got the driver back to the shore, and the Greene County Ambulance transported her to the Greene County Medical Center with minor injuries.
  • A deputy investigated a theft in the 1000 block of H Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated an open door in the 500 block of N Avenue.
  • Caitlyn Day, 27, of Paton was booked into the jail for assault and third-degree criminal mischief.
  • A deputy arrested Richard Finch, 83, of Jefferson for first-offense OWI on N Avenue near 280th Street. Finch was booked into the Greene County Jail.
  • A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 1900 block of Locust Street in Scranton.
  • John Sabus, 44, of Churdan was booked into the Greene County Jail to serve a sentence.
  • A deputy investigated a suspicious male on 220th Street near Pioneer Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on 220th Street near K Avenue.

  • A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 290th Street near E Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated an abandoned 911 call in the 1800 block of M Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated a child custody dispute in the 500 block of State Street in Scranton.
  • A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 1400 block of 160th Street.
  • A deputy investigated a theft in the 2400 block of 337th Street.

  • A deputy investigated an illegal parking complaint on Sandoe Street in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on 160th Street near N Avenue.
  • A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 1800 block of 195th Street.
