A Greenfield teenager was arrested late Monday in Urbandale after allegedly rifling through cars and stealing items.

Spencer Evan Lamb, 19, of 204 N.E. Clark St., Greenfield, was charged with three counts of second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary-motor vehicle, fourth-degree theft and public intoxication.

The incident began about 11:30 p.m. Monday when officers of the Urbandale Police Department responded to a report of a burglary in process in the 4100 block of 159th Street in Urbandale.

According to court records, Lamb “fled the scene when the victims discovered him in the garage,” and officers of the Clive Police Department later located Lamb inside a vehicle in the 16000 block of Aurora Avenue in Urbandale.

Lamb “admitted to stealing money, air pods and other miscellaneous items from multiple cars,” according to court records, but he “did not know which exact vehicles he broke into and where they were.”

Lamb is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $40,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 10 in Dallas County District Court.
