About one month after losing her beloved husband, grieving widow Bailey Morman of Perry was comforted Thursday with donations from two area businesses, the Perry Hy-Vee and the Totally Rolled Ice Cream of West Des Moines.
Steve Frazer, owner of the ice cream company, presented Morman a check for $1,000, and Marcie Bryant of Hy-Vee presented a check for $1,700.
Morman’s husband, Chad Morman, a decorated member of the U.S. Army, was killed in a traffic accident April 23, leaving behind his wife and three small children. The family’s GoFundMe campaign has reached nearly $25,000.
