Devon Archer had five wins for Perry Thursday at Guthrie Center in the final regular season meet for the Perry Summer Swim Team. Perry will compete July 11, at Jefferson, in the IWSC meet at 10 a.m.

GUTHRIE CENTER — Perry visited Guthrie Center Thursday for their final meet of the regular season. Originally scheduled for June 11, the meet was postponed due to poor weather.

While the Guthrie Center pool is in fine form, the surrounding grounds have suffered due to the recent rains, and the lack of space for the teams involved has resulted in moving the July 11 IWSC meet to Jefferson. The start time of 10 a.m. remains unchanged.

Perry girls with four wins against the Tigers Thursday included Jaylene Karolus (9-10), Stephanie Hill (13-14) and both Haley Vaughn and Haileigh Kenyon (both 15-18), with Sophia McDevitt and Addison Huntington (both 9-10) and Breanna Penenger (13-14) winning three times apiece.

Delaney Platt (8U) and Emily Dowd (9-10) had two wins each, with Sarah Vaughn (13-14) also notching a victory.

Both Devon Archer and Caleb Winey (both 15-18) posted five wins for the Perry boys, with Andrew Dowd and Ethan Winey (both 13-14) adding four wins while Riese Archer and Dylan Winey (both 11-12) had three wins apiece.

Twin victories were tallied by Khyler Carstarphen (11-12) and Alex Thompson (15-18) with Alec Burgin (8U) first to the wall once.
