Harry “Tink” Borst, 88, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Adel Acres Care Center in Adel, Iowa, due to complications of pneumonia.

Tink was born in Linden, Iowa, May 7, 1931, to Carl and Elsie Borst.

He was born and raised a farmer, a profession he loved and was passionate about. Tink farmed all his life and was lovingly called “Grandpa Farmer” by his grandchildren.

If Tink wasn’t in the field or on a tractor, he could be found at the nearest fishing hole, chasing after the “big one” or playing cards with his buddies.

Left to cherish Tink’s memory are his two children, Rick (Cindy) Borst of Adel and Char (Stu) Jorgensen of Adel; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to say a very heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Adel Acres Care Center. They offered nothing but love, compassion and exceptional care to our dad for the past three years.

We also want to thank Hospice of the Midwest for their attentiveness and loving compassion for our dad and our family.

No services are planned at this time.
