BOONE — German Alvarenga beat the Boone keeper three times Thursday to help visiting Perry post a 5-1 victory in Raccoon River Conference boys soccer action.

Jesus Rodriguez provided his 10th goal of the season just four minutes into the contest off of assists from Ivan Garcia and David Cardenas. Alvarenga scored in the seventh minute off assists from Garcia and Ian Velasco, then scored an unassisted goal just over two minutes later as Perry (7-2, 4-0) surged to a 3-0 lead in less than 10 minutes of play.

Gianluca Sigismondi used assists from Carmeron Martinez and Jorge Soto to score in the 16th minute. The goal was the second of the season for the Italian exchange student who attends Panorama, which has a sharing agreement for boys and girls soccer with Perry.

Boone scored on a header off a corner kick to cut their deficit to 4-1, but Perry freshman forward Alvarenga secured the hat trick with season goal number four when he found the back of the net in the 60th minute. Garcia assisted on the goal, his fifth assist of the season.

Perry returns to action Tuesday when they host Des Moines East for a non-conference tilt at Dewey Field.
