Donning tropical sportswear, the Perry Hawaiian Lions met Monday at the Hotel Pattee and chose new officers for the next fiscal year.
Outgoing Perry Lions Club President Dr. Harlyn McGuire thanked his fellow Lions for helping to make his year as president a success, and he presented trophy cups to all the members and called them all “winners.” The nine members attending warmly thanked McGuire for his year of service.
McGuire then led the induction ceremonies for incoming Lions Club President John Andorf and Vice President Trisha Smith.
The Lions then tucked in to a hotel dinner of meat loaf, mashed potatoes with gravy and slices of fried zucchini. Rainbow sherbet was served for dessert. The Lions agree that it was a very tasty meal.
