OGDEN — Tuesday’s middle school boys basketball game between host Ogden and Woodward-Granger took on added significance as both teams chose to remember a former W-G student.

Second-grader Charlie Brewer, 7, tragically lost his life in an accident one year ago. In his honor W-G students at all grade levels wore red to school, saluting Charlie by wearing his favorite color.

W-G decided to have their players wear red undershirts to Tuesday’s game. When Ogden officials learned of the decision they did not hesitate, and the Bulldogs also wore red in a sign of solidarity.
