Heenan Insurance of Perry has been chosen by IMT Insurance as one of the 2020 IMT Month of Giving recipients with a $1,000 matching gift to the Dallas County Foundation.

The Month of Giving is a collaboration of MIT Insurance with its independent agents and aims to support COVID-19 relief efforts in the agents’ communities. The Heenan Insurance donation is one of a number made across six states and ranging from $250 to $1,000. The gifts were matched dollar-for-dollar by IMT and totaled more than $37,000.

IMT Insurance, a leading provider of personal and commercial insurance products in the Midwest, hosted the Month of Giving program in reaction to the immediate need for relief across their territory.

“Right now, our neighbors need more help than ever,” said an IMT spokesperson. “IMT Agents are generous, and IMT’s donation match supports a shared commitment to supporting local businesses, food banks, non-profits and programs aimed to help relieve the stress thrust upon us by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The Dallas County Foundation (DCF) has been awarding grant funds to large and small community projects throughout the county since 2005. The foundation has awarded more than $1,354,689 to some 250 projects in Dallas County. A list of its funded projects from 2006 to 2020 can be viewed at the DCF website. The DCF is an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines.

IMT Insurance offers insurance products through nearly 1,000 independent insurance agencies across Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
