DES MOINES — Make that a triple for Perry’s Victoria Hegstrom.
The senior joined 40 other elite student-athletes across the state by earning Academic All-State honors from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.
Requirements for the recognition are stiff, as eligibility standards include being a senior with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale while also scoring either a 27 on the ACT or a minimum of 1200 on the SAT.
Hegstrom was also an Academic All-State honoree in both volleyball and basketball, completing a quite rare scholastic trifecta.
