Hernandez, Myers earn all-conference nods for Bluejays

Perry sophomore Juan Hernandez and eighth grader Owen Myers were both added to the All-Raccoon River Conference Honorable Mention lists for the 2021 season.

Hernandez batted .283 with a pair of doubles. He scored six runs and drove in a pair while drawing six walks and five times being hit by a pitch. Hernandez was tough on the bases, stealing 11 bases in 12 attempts.

Myers led the team with a .286 average. He belted three doubles, scored six times and was responsible for five RBIs. Myers walked six times and was also a threat on the base paths, finishing with 11 thefts in 13 tries.

Perry was 0-25 overall and 0-18 in RRC play. They will join the Heart of Iowa Conference next season. Greene County, Nevada, PCM, Roland-Story, Saydel, South Hamilton, and West Marshall will be the new league foes for the Bluejays.
