A high-speed chase westbound on Iowa Highway 141 arose near Woodward shortly before 7 p.m. Monday and ended in the 2900 block of Iowa Highway 141 in Perry.
There were no injuries, and the suspected eluder was taken into custody without further incident.
According to law enforcement radio traffic, the eluding driver of a four-door sedan reached speeds exceeding 100 mph while pursued by a Dallas County Deputy Sheriff’s patrol vehicle.
The chase began about 6:52 p.m. and ended about 6:57 after an officer with the Perry Police Department deployed a spike strip on Iowa Highway 141 at Willis Avenue, which deflated the eluding vehicle’s tires.
The Woodward Police Department also responded.
