A strong storm with 40 mph winds and dime-sized hail was detected at 9:54 a.m. on Doppler radar moving eastward from Jefferson in Greene County and into Boone County, according to the National Weather Service in Des Moines.
Locations impacted include Jefferson, Ogden, Grand Junction, Rippey, Fraser, Beaver, Berkley and the Jefferson Municipal Airport.
