URBANDALE, Iowa — The Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency (HIRTA) will temporarily suspend telephone and email service while it replaces its servers beginning Oct. 28, the agency announced Tuesday. The interruption of service is expected to extend through Oct. 29.

In order to prepare for the brief interruption, HIRTA advised its riders to schedule all possible rides in advance of Oct. 28. HIRTA said it will suspend its will-call service for Oct. 28-29 and expects to resume the will-call service Oct. 30.

“We thank our communities for understanding and patience through this upgrade process,” said Danny Schnathorst, HIRTA mobility outreach coordinator. “This upgrade is funded in part by the Leonard A. Good Trust.”
