Lou Hoger of Perry, in green, celebrated his birthday Friday by treating his fellow Society of Retired Educators (SORE) members to cinnamon rolls at the Perry Perk coffeehouse. The SORE included, clockwise from left, Roger Emmert, Andrew Bambrick, Larry Blaker, Phil Stone, Hoger, Jim George, Bob Rounds, Jim Haas, Doug Latham and Charlie Thompson. Friday the SORE coffee group met at the Perry Perk coffeehouse and helped Lou Hoger celebrated his birthday.

Hoger treated the men to hot cinnamon rolls and coffee. Out-of-town guests included Phil Stone of Minneapolis.

Hoger did not mention how many birthdays he has numbered, but a man of wisdom and distinction is ageless, it was noted.
