Falls in the home and how to avoid them will be among the subjects covered at the next Perry Lutheran Home Aging Well seminar Tuesday, July 18.

The next topic in the Perry Lutheran Home’s AgingWell seminar series is home safety, and the seminar is titled, “Keeping Your Elderly Loved One Safe at Home.”

The free seminar will take place at noon and again at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 18 at the Spring Valley Campus at 501 12th St. in Perry.

One of the featured speakers will be Perry Lutheran Home’s IdentitE Program Director, Certified Dementia Practitioner and experienced home care professional, Alyssa Poland.

You will learn ways to help your loved one live well at home, longer, with various safety considerations and recommendations. Plus, learn about service options to extend your loved ones stay at home.

The monthly AgingWell seminar series typically fall on the second Tuesday of each month and are offered either over the noon hour or in the evening and sometimes at both times. A variety of locations will be utilized for the series, including the Main Campus on Willis Avenue, the Spring Valley Campus next to Dallas County Hospital and other locations in the community.
