About 400 people will enjoy dinner with all the trimmings at the 19th annual Community Christmas Dinner to be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Perry Elks lodge at 2823 Willis Ave.

Delivery is also available. Place a delivery order by calling the 515-465-3791 on Dec. 25 after 10 a.m. A large order for take-out or delivery should be called in early, if possible.

The meal will include ham, pork loin, turkey and dressing, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, salad, rolls, dessert and cookies to go.

The dinner is free, but donations will be accepted. All donations go to Perry Food pantry. This is a community-sponsored event. It is not provided by the Elks.

“Please join us and celebrate all we have overcome during this tough year for Perry,” said co-organizer Deb Miller. “We are all in this together and must lift each other up. Sharing over a Christmas meal with our friends and neighbors is what Christmas is all about. Blessings and gratefulness.”
